(13-0-1, 4 KO), the undefeated WIBF interim world champion in
junior flyweight will box on June 9th in Adana, Turkey.
She already boxed in Istanbul on May 6, 2010. The Turkish media
wrote that this fight had been the first professional female
fight ever to take place in Turkey.
The name of Sahin’s opponent is
not yet known. It is also known at what weight class she will
fight, at either junior flyweight or minimum weight, the weight
class that she actually belongs in. In any case,
Sahin will fight in the main event on this night.
The card is organized by Arena
Box-Promotion. The event is also meant as a test to see if
Turkish viewers will accept women’s boxing. The event will be
shown on the Turkish TV channel KANAL TÜRK.
