(JAN 31) Chevelle "Fist of Steel"
Hallback and Terri "The Road Warrior" Blair will rematch March 2
at the Convention Center in Tampa, Florida, in a scheduled 8
round main event. This is a great moment for women's boxing.
“I'm looking forward to fighting at home for the first time in
my career,” Chevelle said. “Terri and I had a great battle in
2007. She's fought the best, has never been stopped and I'm
training hard to make this an exciting fight for all the fans. I
appreciate Terri for stepping up for this fight.”
Chevelle's advisor, Bill Calogero sees the Blair rematch as an
opportunity to campaign for a revenge match with Myriam Lamare.
"What a main event!" he said of the Blair fight.
"Hallback is the most feared female fighter out there. Terri
Blair has fought all the top women fighters during her
career...TWICE. Now its time for Chevy to see if she can be the
first to stop the Road Warrior when she fights her for the
second time. We hope to get past Blair on March 2, he continued,
and right the wrong that was done to us in France against the
French Chicken, Myriam Lamare," added Cologero.
Cologero said, "everyone who was there watched Chevy destroy
Lamare, only to get robbed by a group of incompetent judges. We
want a rematch and feel that a loud and clear message would be a
tough fight, and hopefully a win against Terry Blair. The French
people are great and I know they are proud of their boxers, but
how can anyone be proud of "le poulet Francais" Myriam Lamare."
Terri Blair is a tough opponent; Chevelle Hallback is a feared
and difficult match. A rematch between these two warriors is an
example of what good things can happen when fighters step up and
take on competitive challenges. The sport earns recognition and
the fans get the benefit of great action.
