Mariana "Barbie" Juarez Makes a World Boxing Cares visit
Report and photos by Pepe Rodriguez/WBC
January 19, 2012

(JAN 19) The WBC flyweight World Champion, Mariana La "Barbie" Juarez, who has repeatedly shown her humanistic qualities, again lived up to what she does and she paid a visit with homeless children in San Vicente Chicoloapan, Mexico.

Our great champion and some other fighters, arrived yesterday afternoon in the House "La Divina Providencia", which is a welfare institution for disabled children who were abandoned by their parents.

Received by the religious mother, Ines Valdivia Gonzalez, who is responsible for doing this great work with the children, these champions and former champions delivered gifts and t-shirts to these little champions, who were very happy with their visitors.

Children immediately recognized the Mexican female fighter and many of them told her that on December 10th, they saw on television her successfully fight in XCARET, Mexico. Mariana gave candy, cookies, diapers and other items to help a little with the costs of this great institution.
