(JAN 2) WBAN found an interesting
press release on the net earlier today, reporting that Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi
has decided to enter the ring as the owner of a professional
boxing team. The release stated the following:
Polizzi, one of the stars of MTV's reality show "Jersey Shore,"
is beginning a venture that seems more legit than the other we
heard of recently: Dennis Rodman's topless women's basketball
team.
Team Snooki Boxing includes three Irish brothers, Patrick “Pajo”,
Eddie and Paul Hyland – all champions in their respective
classes, according to NBC 10 Philadelphia.
The Hyland Brothers will headline a night of boxing at Resorts
Casino Hotel in Atlantic City on Jan. 28.
“We are incredibly excited to introduce The Hyland Brothers and
Team Snooki Boxing. We’ve seen what these boys can do, and
expect nothing less than continued success and ‘living up to the
hype’ for each of them here in the States,” Vice President of
Final Round Promotions Mike Pascale said in a press release.
The “Jersey Shore” star says her new boxing team’s first fight
will take place in Atlantic City at the end of January.
In a surprising announcement, “Jersey Shore” star Nicole
“Snooki” Polizzi told the world of her newest business venture…a
boxing team.
Yup, we said it, a boxing team.
And although the pint-sized self-proclaimed Princess of
Poughkeepsie can take a punch – think back to the New York
teacher that laid one on Snooks back in 2009 – we’re fairly
certain no one saw Snooki moving into the world of professional
fighting.
