(NOV 3) After last Friday's
unanimous decision over Sharon Gaines, former world champion
Carina Moreno (22-3, 6 KO's) says she'll be ready to rematch WBA
& WBO Light Flyweight champion Yesica Bopp (18-0, 8 KO's) after
two more tune up fights.
"I shook the rust off against Sharon Gaines last Friday after
being out of the ring for almost eleven months," said Moreno.
"I've been wanting to rematch Yesica Bopp since we fought last
year in Argentina. I feel after a couple of more fights I'll be
ready to face her. My goal is to stay active and get the rounds
I need to be sharp. Bopp has already agreed to the rematch so
I'm excited about the opportunity to win another world title."
Carina's trainer Rick Nobel states, "Yesica Bopp is the fight we
are seeking, but we have to get some more rounds in before we
face her. She's one of the best fighters out there and Carina
will have to be 100% mentally and physically prepared if they
fight each other. Last time we fought on short notice and it
showed in Carina's performance. After a two more fights, I
believe Carina will be ready to challenge Bopp for her titles."
