Tonight: PAL Boxing Card that features amateurs and Pros!

(OCT 8) Tonight at 7:00 p.m., at the Clark County Events Center, Vancouver Police Activities League (PAL) and Fisticuff's Gym will be hosting a Pro-Am Boxing event.

There are 10 bouts on the card. The first five fights will feature the amateurs, and the 6 through 10 fight will be pro boxing. [PDF of Bout Sheet]  Special guest, Sugar Ray Leonard will be at this event.

Yesterday evening WBAN attended the weigh-in for the pro boxers.  The weigh-in took place at the Main Events Sports Grill, in Vancouver, Washington. No women bouts on card.

The following are the weights of each boxer:

Bout 6:
Featherweights - four rounds
Kendall Ward, 127.5
Marco Candenas, 125

Bout 7:
Heavyweights - four rounds
Matt Kovacs, 258
Sylvester Barron, 236.5

Bout 8
Jr. Welterweights
Gabriel Pineda, 137
Nalo Leal (delayed due to flight)

Bout 9
Lightweights - four rounds
Sammy Perez, 132.5
Danny Ruiz, 134.5

Bout 6 - Main Event - Six Rounds
Virgil Green, 139.5
Jesse Isais, 139.5
 
Advanced tickets are still available for the boxing event through Ticketsoregon (www.ticketsoregon.com) and will also be on sale at the door the evening of the event. All proceeds from the event benefit the Vancouver Police Activities League, www.vancouverpal.com.
