(JULY 29) WBAN cannot say we did not try to tell some of the non-believers that this fight was never signed and was not set in stone to take place---but final word is out today---The fight is off for 2011!

As we had reported at the time when a press release was sent out by Team Sauerland talking about this fight taking place later this year, WBAN contacted Fresquez Productions and had confirmed that the fight had not been signed.

WBAN has been told that they would look at fighting the following year at this time---so hopefully we can see that the negotiations go well for Team Braekhus and Holm, so that we can see this potentially exciting matchup.

At this time, Holly Holm is looking forward to her second pro fight in MMA that will take place on September 9th at the Route 66 Casino Hotel, and then taking on one of the biggest boxing fights in women's boxing, when she faces Anne Sophie Mathis in December of 2011, in a world title fight.
