Zulina Munoz to fight Sandoval for "Silver" WBC Belt
by Sue TL Fox
July 13, 2011

(JULY 13) On July 16, 2011, Zulina Munoz, who has fought a string of inferior opposition for "WBC Youth" titles, and currently ranked #3 as a bantamweight with the WBC, will fight Kandy Sandoval, who is not ranked with the WBC. The two are fighting for the vacant "Silver" WBC bantamweight title.   The fight will be telecast on WBC Boxing website.

In the current WBC ratings in the bantamweight category they have listed Kaliesha West (a fantastic boxer) ranked #1; Hagar Shmoulefeld Finer (a fantastic boxer) #2; and then Munoz who is ranked #3. We then have a list of over 20 female boxers in that weight category with the WBC----with NONE of them naming KANDY SANDOVAL as being ranked.

Sandoval comes into the fight with a 4-1-0 (1KO) record, and according to Boxrec, her last fight took place over two years ago in January 2009, where she lost to Belen Posadas.

A few words about this.....WBAN would really enjoy writing glorious and upbeat stories on title bout fights.  Lets see the title championship fights that are at least supported by the federations ratings.  That is a beginning...
