Three Women's Bouts on New Mexico Card
April 28, 2011

(APR 28) On June 10, 2011, at the Route 66 Casino, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, there will three women's bouts on the card. In the main event, Holly Holm, 29-1-3 (9KO), will be fighting Cindy Serrano, 15-3-1 (7KO). A definite challenge for Serrano, who comes out of inactivity to take on Holm. Serrano said in a press release that she has to fight the best to be the best and what better way for a comeback then to fight the best. Serrano will definitely have her work clearly cut out for her  when she takes on Holm. This is a non-title bout in a 10-rounder.

On the undercard, Victoria Cisneros of New Mexico will be scheduled to fight a four-rounder, and a "New Kid on the Block" boxer in Albuquerque, Brandi Montoya (0-1) will be facing Diana Torres who is making her pro debut.

In the semi main event, it’s the rematch Joaquin Zamora (18-3-1, 12KO’s) and Elco Garcia (24-7, 12 KO’s) meet up again in an 8-round boxing match. Zamora claims to be a “different fighter” and is hoping to tip the scale in his favor.

Albuquerque favorites, David Proa and Willie Villanueva will be fighting a six rounder.

The “Duke City Showdown” will be featured on TeleFutura’s “Solo Boxeo Tecate in connection with Golden Boy and Don Chargin. Tickets are available at rt66casino.com or 1-800-585-3737.
