(DEC 05) There is no doubt that both Kina Malpartida and Lyndsey Scragg believe that they will taste victory in their upcoming battle tonight at the Citizen's Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California. Both women are brimming with confidence and appear to be well prepared mentally and physically.

"I came here to win this fight and the height difference will not be a factor, not in this fight....we have prepared for it" said Scragg. There was a look of determination in the eyes of this young woman and you knew immediately she believes in her ability to conquer the Peruvian Champion.

While Kina is also self assured and confident, there is a quiet storm brewing. "This past year I have changed and grown. I am not the fighter I was before, I understand so much more now and I am more confident in my skills. I will win this fight, this much I know." So strong in that confidence is Kina, that she can make you believe it even as she says it.

At the weigh-in yesterday, contained shouts of support for both fighters. There was no trash talking, no inappropriate behavior. Both women were pleasant and respectful to each other and to all that attended the weigh-in. There was an air of professionalism that made you feel like you were standing among real champions...This is Women's Boxing ladies and gentlemen and I'm going to love this fight!
