(SEPT 17) Ava "The Lady of Boxing"
Knight is under treatment with Dr. Manish Lal of Chico, Ca. for two
slipped discs that prevented her from training right for her last
bout against Ana Maria Torres in Mexicali, Mexico back in August of
2009.
She'll be out from boxing for
about four to six months. Ava didn't want to cancelled the bout
with Torres after the doctor told her not to fight, she decided
to fight anyway.
Ava is very courageous, she went 10 rounds with Torres, with the
temperature of 108 degrees, two slipped discs, outdoors with one
of the top active Champions in the WBC.
Knight hopes to get a rematch with Torres in the near future.
