(JUNE 22) Tammie Johnson went to
Chicago in March to face Rita Figueroa and her perfect 10-0 record.
After six hard rounds the three judges saw three different fights.
One had Johnson winning 56-58, one went to Figueroa 59-55 and the
third called it a draw.
There was immediate talk of a rematch in the Northwest. That never
materialized, so back to Chicago goes Johnson.
As part of Windy City Fight Night 3 – Friday June 26 at UIC Pavilion
– Johnson (3-2-2) and Figueroa (10-0-1) will try to finish what was
started three months ago. The fight will be eight rounds at a weight
of 136 pounds.
