(APR 30) 'Australian author and
amateur boxer Mischa Merz is poised to make her return to the ring
after seven years but needs a female masters opponent in
the 138lb division. There is no masters division in Australia and
like so many women Mischa was a late starter and is keen to take
advantage of the opportunity to fight again without turning
professional and making a career out of it. '
Mischa told WBAN, "This is a great opportunity for me because I
always felt my competitive years were cut short because of my age
and now that's no obstacle. But it
seems it is still hard to find a match, which is a bit frustrating,
especially since I have to travel so far from home to fight."
