Palacio Peñarol, in Montevideo, Uruguay, Chris “Bombon Asesino”
Namús, 140, of Montevideo, Uruguay, won a 10-round unanimous
decision over Nicole Woods, 140, Stone Mountain, Georgia, USA. The
judges scores were 98-93, 100-88, 99-94.
According to a press
release that WBAN received, it was reported that Nicole was down in
round three, and received an eight-count in round four.
In a translation (loose) the release said, when people are standing
up to watch the fight, shouting, with unusual fervor, saying,
“Uruguay, Uruguay!” it is because something great is happening in
