(FEB 1)  Five times women’s world champion Jane Couch is embarking on a new chapter in her career as the new Boxing Coordinator for Hatton Promotions. 

Jane recently retired from the ring after an illustrious career in which she pioneered professional women’s boxing in the UK. She has also carved out a niche in the sport as a promoter with a string of successful shows in Bristol in recent years. The most recent of which was a co-promotion with Ricky Hatton at Christmas. Now the two world champions have linked up with a more formal arrangement.

“I’m delighted to be joining forces with Hatton Promotions to help them become established as the leading promoters in the country.” says Jane. “My role will be to organise and oversee all future Hatton shows around the country. There is a lot of work behind the scenes on a professional show that no-one actually sees but organization is the key to making a successful show.

“When I started out in boxing I had a reputation as a bit of a rebel to say the least! Now I know the system and I hope I can use my knowledge to establish Hatton Promotions at the very top of the sport.
