In a letter to all national amateur
boxing Federations on October 20, the President of AIBA announces
that the AIBA head office officially submitted to the IOC its
application to add women's boxing events to the 2012 Olympic Games.
The IOC will work with AIBA to revise
the proposal before taking it to a vote sometime between December
