(OCT 2) Ha-Ha-Ha.....the McCarter team
is a joke! I want to applaud the
McCarter team on the great performance you displayed on WBAN for
everyone to read. The comments you have made recently are very
comical.
I would like to first start off by apologizing to WBAN and all my
fans for not responding sooner to this poor excuse of a team, “The
McCarter Team". If
they are going to post something---why not post the WHOLE STORY!
I will say they did get something right in their story. Yes, I
called out Layla McCarter. I not only called out Layla but ANYONE
that is 135lb-140lb. Now please correct me if I am wrong, but was it
not the McCarter team that said no one would fight Layla?
Team Hallback called Team McCarter for months after hearing that
statement. I was available and ready to fight Layla, and in return
all we were getting were excuses after excuses of why Layla was not
able to fight me.
Ok, I accepted that and moved on,
knowing Layla really didn't want to fight me.
So when my team put the statement
on WBAN about me not able to get fights, and fighters looking
overseas to find someone to fight (referring to team McCarter), the
Hallback team gets a phone call from guess whom? TEAM MCCARTER!
Now Luis Tapia [Layla's manager] and Steve Cross had a conversation
about Layla and I fighting. How that conversation went I’m not
positively sure because I was not on the other end of the phone.
Now what I do know is that after
their conversation, I received a 3-way call from Steve Cross
and Luis Tapia to talk about Layla and I fighting. Tapia
asked ME, Chevelle Hallback, “What purse would you like for a 12
round, three minutes per round, fight?” I asked him what they were
offering for a 12 rds 3 mins fight. That's when I got the famous
line that is given by anyone that's trying to match a fight, “Well,
the budget is low, so there is not that much money”. So I asked
again, “What is the offer?” and he said $5000. I told him no. I will
not accept $5000 for 12 rds 3 mins. I have received more money for
lesser rounds and time.
So please tell me why would I accept
less money for more rounds and longer time? Why? When I told him no
and my reasoning for not accepting the offer, he asked me again, “So
what do you want?” I told him $10,000. He said okay, and he
would see what he could do to make it happen.
The next thing that happen after that conversation was Luis Tapia,
“Shut up or Put up” statement on WBAN. But, he did not tell the
WHOLE story. He did not tell the part of fighting for 12 rds 3 mins,
and he did not tell the part of him asking ME what I wanted.
After the first response from team
McCarter I then spoke to the promoter, Frank Luca. Frank stated he
has never paid anyone over $3,500 to fight Layla at The Orleans.
I had a hard time believing that---but I will talk about that a
little later.
So we went back and forth and I told
Lucas if there was nothing to negotiate then conversation was over
and hung-up the phone.
Then after that, the next day, Steve Cross gets another phone call
from Luis Tapia. I was told that he is now offering $5,000 but it
can be a 10 rd 2 min fight because they really want the fight but
they are only getting $50,000 to do the whole show and they are only
going to pay Layla $3,000 for the fight. Again, I had a hard time
believing that McCarter was only getting at amount of money.
Then the very next day, Luis comes
on WBAN again and makes more ridiculous statements. Team
McCarter was saying, "I am beneath her in some of the rankings;
Layla does not need me, etc."----These people really crack me up!
They should really consider a job in stand-up comedy! All I have to
say to that is this, I BEAT HER TWICE!
Now let’s break this all down, but before I get started, let’s get
one thing understood. Chevelle Hallback never runs or hide from
ANYONE and I will fight WHOEVER, WHENEVER, but at the same
time I am not going to be taken advantage of. So let me shed some
light on the situation:
1. Now, I have fought Layla twice, once in Savannah, where I was
residing at the time, and once in California, on neutral grounds. I
BEAT her both times. They say they got robbed in Savannah. What was
the excuse for California?
2. The fight they are offering is in her hometown, fighting for more
rounds and longer time, but they want to give me less money.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, that is so hilarious to me!
3. Now Luis stated the budget is low and this is not HBO; but he
wants an HBO type of fight, 12 rds 3 mins. He stated he offered me
standard money ($5,000), but I am not a standard fighter.
4. Luis said Layla only got $3,000 when she fought in Savannah. If
that is true then we both received $3,000 and we were fighting each
other for the first time.
5. Then the promoter, Frank Luca tells me he has never paid the
following fighters have been paid more than that to fight Layla:
Belinda Laracuente and Donna Biggers. The rest, with the exception
of Melissa Hernandez, were fighters with less than impressive
records. The only reason they got away with paying Melissa what they
paid her for the second fight is because Layla beat Melissa their
first fight, and Melissa, being the warrior she is, she just wanted
to avenge her loss.
You guys are a joke, clowns, and I am not going to partake in your
circus. In regards to you Layla McCarter… and not team McCarter, you
are beneath me. I do not see you or your team. Why don’t you just
tell Luis Tapia and Frank Luca, that you JUST CAN’T BEAT ME and to
stop using you to put money in their pockets. Your trainer, manager,
and whatever else he is to you, along with Frank Luca apparently do
not believe in your skills against me. In my opinion, this is why
they offered what they offered because they knew I would not accept
it. But then they come on WBAN in an attempt to make themselves look
good. Trying to make you look like a warrior, that would get in the
ring with anyone.
So this is my offer: 7,500 for 10
rounds 2 mins, or 10,000 for 12 rds 3 mins. Now if the 10,000 is too
deep for your team pockets, then make the purse for $10,000 and
winner take all. Layla, you could not beat me on my worse night.
Do you really think you can? No, you do not.
Your team knows you can’t, I know you can’t, and anyone that knows
Chevelle Hallback knows you can’t. But if you want to play warrior
or be a hero, then tell your trainer, manager, or whoever, to step
up to the plate and lets do this…..$10,000 winner take all, fighting
12 rounds 3 mins, 4 roundtrip tickets, 2 rooms, medicals, and food
money for 4 people.
But if you have doubts about what you
can do and don't want to walk away without any money, then they can
give you the $3,000 they said you would receive and I will settle
for $7,500 for 10 rounds 2 mins plus what I asked for above. So what
is it going to be Layla?.....I'll tell you what, run it by "Team
McCarter" and get back with me.
Chevelle Hallback has spoken.
