(SEPT 11) Maureen Shea returned to the
ring, briefly, after a twelve month hiatus, to TKO a badly
overmatched Ellsha Cleffman, 145, at 1:57 of the first round
of a scheduled six round bout, Wednesday night, at the PAL Gym in
Yonkers, NY.
The fight, billed as the main event, on a five bout
card, presented by Irish Ropes Promotions, featured Shea, fighting
at 138 lbs. for the first time.
Shea's last bout was September 2007,
a two round TKO over Jessica Mohs (7-15-1) in New York City.
Cleffman was coming off a first round stoppage, in June, at the
hands of Cheryl Bontz (1-2) in North Platte, NB. Shea's record goes
to 13-0, while Cleffman drops to 3--2.
