(AUG 17) Heavyweight Monica McGowan
makes a convincing “reason” why WBAN has discontinued ratings for the
heavier weight classes---apparently there is just too little of
competition.Last
night, McGowan, now 14-3-0 (10KO), fought at the El Dorado
Municipal Auditorium, in El Dorado, Arkansas, against a 0-0-0
boxer--Toni Weaver. According to BoxRec, Weaver was KO”d in the
first 20 seconds of the first round in a scheduled four rounder.
McGowan, a previously world ranked boxer with WBAN has now fought
three women boxers in her last three bouts, who barely have
"scratched the surface" in regards to experience in the sport as of
yet.
Prior to McGowan fighting Weaver last night, she fought 0-0-0 Gayle
Eidschum on June 19, 2008, TKO’ing her in the first round; and 0-2-0
Celeste Smith on June 9, 2007; TKO’ing her in the first round.
