Purse Bid for Oliveras vs. Nava WBC Title bout
Source: WBC
August 16, 2008

(AUG 16) WBAN received news from the WBC, that the WBC Female Championships Committee held a purse bid for the fight between the super bantamweight world champion Alejandra Oliveras, from Argentina, vs.
the interim champion of such division Jackie Nava, from Mexico.

The promotional company "Box Latino" won the purse bid with USD $ 34,000.00, which will be split as follows the purse as follows: 55% for Alejandra Oliveras, 45% for Jackie Nava.  The other bidder was Argentine promoter Oscar Victor Bustos, who offered USD $ 31,000.00.

The WBC is pleased to see how the female championships of our organization have improved and increased in a very special way the conditions and the amounts of the purses for the fighters.

This will be a third match for the two, when in their first fight, Oliveras defeated Nava in Mexico, by an eighth round KO.  They then fought again in March of 2007, where the bout ended in a 10-round draw in Oliveras' home turf of Argentina.
