(AUG 4) On some
delayed amateur results, on July 21-26, 2008, at the 23rd Caribbean
Tournament (CABA), in Trinidad & Tobago, the following were the
final results of the tournament. According
to news sources Hosts Trinidad and Tobago captured the overall team
title in the Caribbean Amateur Boxing Association's (CABA) Junior
and Women's Championships at the Chaguaramas Convention Centre.
On the final night of competition,
the Trinidad and Tobgo quartet of male boxers, Marion Pascal,
Akile Wallace, Dillon Gilbert, and Brian George won gold medals.

Boodram, T&T (3)
Boodram is a very good boxer, and showed a lot of heart because
Moses really gave her a bruising battle. Boxing fans should keep
their eye on Moses, as she is an excellent amateur in the sport. Mandessa
Moses became the first Guyanese female amateur fighter to secure a
gold medal for her country when she defeated Boodram.
