(JUN 7) Last night there were several boxing results in women's boxing around the world.  At the Club Deportivo Argentino, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, junior welterweight   Monica “La Gata” Acosta, won a four-round unanimous decision over Anabel “La Devastadora” Amarillo. Both Acosta and Amarillo are from Argentina. Final judges scores, 40-36½, 39½-38½, and 40-37½.

In St Maartin, Netherlands Antilles, junior heavyweight Gwendolyn O'Neil won a 10-round split decision over Carlette Ewell for the vacant WIBA Junior heavyweight title. 

There were two boxing events taking place in France.  At the Gymnase Maurice Bacquet, La Seyne Sur Mer, Var, France, bantamweight Nadege Szikora TKO’d Roxana Tenea, in the first round of a four round bout. Lastly, at the  Salle Jean Roure, Les Pennes Mirabeau, Bouches-du-Rhône, France, super featherweight Myriam Chomaz of France KO’d Agnes Adonga in the second round of a 10 round vacant WBC International super featherweight title.
