(JUNE 1) Last night at Chameleon Club in
Budapest, Hungary, in the main event, Hungarian Krisztina Belinszky (99lbs) won
an unanimous decision over American Melissa Shaffer (99.25lbs) and
captured vacant GBU and WIBC Mini-weight world titles.
Belinszky began the bout with a
very aggressive style and later dominated and outscored Shaffer in
every round with jabs and body shots.
After the fight Shaffer behave very
sportsmanlike and congratulated Belinszky. Official scoring,
Béla Flórián (HUN) 99-92; Grzegorz Molenda (POL) 99-92; Miklos Döry
(HUN) 98-92.
