(MAY 21) Josh Canty: "Jeannine Garside
is NOT looking
to suffer her first loss against Chevelle Hallback".
Josh Canty, Jeannine Garside’s (7-0-1, 3 KO) trainer, is preparing
the WIBA featherweight champ for her June 13 IFBA title clash with
Chevelle Hallback, (26-5-2, 11 KO).
Canty acknowledges Hallback is a fast starter, noting the first
round between Hallback and Melissa Hernandez, when Hernandez was
staggered early and hung on to fight Hallback to an entertaining
draw. "Jeannine will have to weather the storm but she brings
amateur skills, and great speed to combat Chevelle," Canty said.
"While Chevelle will get her shots in, Jeannine isn’t going
anywhere. She will look to use her speed, counter punch and make her
miss."
"Jeannine Garside is NOT looking to suffer her first loss against
Chevelle Hallback. Jeannine is ready to battle anything Chevelle
puts in front of her. Jeannine is going to put on a show that proves
she is among the elite in women’s boxing. Chevelle has great heart,
but I’ve never seen anything like Jeannine’s heart and desire to win
and be the best. I hope Chevelle at least brings the game she
brought against Hernandez because this fight has the potential to be
the fight of both their lives."
Garside and Hallback collide for the IFBA lightweight championship
when "Finally" brings the best of women's championship boxing to PPV
live from the Isleta Resort Casino in Albuquerque on Friday, June
13, at 10 PM/ET-8 PM/MT. Produced and distributed by Integrated
Sports, "Finally" will be available for live viewing on cable and
satellite pay-per-view in the United States via iN Demand, TVN and
DirecTV and in Canada.
