(MAY 19) Hartford junior welterweight
Addy Irizarry (4-2, 2 KOs) had her best performance as a pro prize
fighter this past Saturday in Germany, but it wasn't quite enough as
she lost a close six-round decision to unbeaten Columbian-native
Ceciha "First Lady" Braekhus (7-0, 2 KOs), fighting out of Norway.
"Addy did a great job," Irizarry's manager Bret Hallenbeck said. "It
was a good, close fight. Addy got floored in the sixth round and
that was the difference (in scoring). She just got caught. Addy
didn't have a mark on her face after the fight and Braekus was all
busted up. We'd love to get her in a rematch."
