(NOV 9) The Augusta Boxing Club in conjunction with the Sports Medicine Associates’ of Augusta will present an open to the public medical seminar at no charge on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 6:00 -7PM at the Augusta Boxing Club located at 1929 Walton Way.

The topic of this seminar is a discussion of all elements of the “DEADLY DISEASE” MRSA – particularly relating to recreational and competitive sports activities. [MRSA (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus]

Dr. Robert Gambrell and Robert Leslie, Athletic Trainer, both representing Sports Medicine Associates of Augusta will be conducting the seminar. Dr. Gambrell is an International certified physician with USA Boxing, Inc. (The National Governing Body for Olympic Boxing in the USA) and has worked as Ringside physician for numerous International and National Boxing championships.

MRSA has claimed 19,000 plus lives in 2006.

We encourage area coaches, (schools and recreation), athletes and parents to attend. There will be a question – answer session at the end of the presentation.
