Undefeated Puerto Rican lightweight
prospect Mike Gonzalez thrilled the packed house at the PAR A DICE
Hotel and Casino on Saturday night with a devastating fifth round
knockout of Jaime Alvarado in the main event of RUMBLE IN PAR A DICE
2007 in Peoria, Illinois.
RUMBLE IN PAR A DICE 2007 was promoted by Dominic Pesoli’s 8 Count
Productions, HOME OF THE BEST IN CHICAGO BOXING.
Gonzalez took the first four rounds with outstanding short power
shots and terrific defensive skills slipping numerous power shots
from the tough Mexican veteran Alvarado in the scheduled eight
rounder.
Said Gonzalez after the fight, “I was able to stay patient
throughout the fight and kept away from his power. I’m pleased with
my performance but there is still much more to improve on.”
With the win Gonzalez moved his record to 10-0-1 with nine knockouts
while Alvarado fell to 7-6-2 (4KO’s). The time of the stoppage was
1:31 of the fifth when the fight was
stopped by referee Geno Rodriguez.

Cincinnati, Ohio. Walker was sharp the entire battle with short
crisp body shots that finally felled Saunders at 2:34 of the fourth
round. Walker raises his record to 15-0-1 (9KO’s) while Saunders
moves to 9-3 (6KO’s).
In the special feature attraction women’s bout, hard hitting Peoria

three knockouts as she brutalized Daverne Morrison, 0-2 of Billings,
Montana from the opening bell until the bout was stopped at 1:12 of
the first round of the junior lightweight bout.

William Deets-Quintana, 1-2-1 (1KO) of Kearney, Nebraska in the
first round before knocking him out with a devastating overhand
right at 1:32 of the second round. Displaying deceptively fast
hands, Polyakov, 3-0 (3KO’s) is a technically advanced fighter who
continues to win raves from the Chicagoland fans.
Opening the evening undefeated welterweights Cory Peterson and
Joshua Rodriguez set the tone for a great evening of boxing with a
resounding two rounds of boxing as power shots landed flush from the
outset. Rodriguez was coming off two terrific first round knockouts
and dropped Bay City, Michigan native Peterson twice in the first
round. The second round featured more terrific two way action until
Peterson dropped a badly hurt Rodriguez and the fight was stopped at
1:48 of the second stanza. With the win the MAD BOMBER and all
action Peterson moves to 4-0 (3KO’s) while the valiant Rodriguez of
