(MAR 23) This
weekend will be a busy weekend for women’s boxing. WBAN has given
an overview of the fights that will take place.
On Friday, March 23rd,
at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino, in Calgary, Canada, super
featherweight Wendy Roy will fight Linda Ludwig in a four-rounder
on the undercard; In Cartagena, Colombia, lightweight Ana Pascal
will be fighting Paola Rojas in a rematch. The two are scheduled to
fight 12 rounds. The two will be fighting for the UBC Super
Lightweight title. Rojas is not ranked with WBAN; In Nord,
France, in another title bout, Nathalie Toro will fight Daniela
David in a 10-rounder for the vacant women’s European EBU
lightweight title; In New York, Dominga Olivo will get a second
shot at Ella Nunez, 0-1-0, in a six rounder. The first fight had
resulted in a split decision for Olivo; and in Copenhagen, Denmark,
junior welterweight Vinni Skovgaard will be facing Eunice Miranda in
a four round bout on the undercard. Skovgaard just turned pro this
year after having a very successful amateur boxing career. Be on the
lookout for this up-and-coming talent!
On Saturday, March 24th, at the Palais des sports, in Indre
et Loire, France, Bantamweight Aziza Oubaita will be fighting Polina
Taliashvili in a six-round bout on the undercard; At the Baekje
Gymnasium, in Gongju City, Korea, Super Bantamweight Eun Hee Lee
will fight Hee-Jung Yuh; In Panama City, Panama, super bantamweight
Ogleidis Suarez will face Kathia Montuto in a four-rounder; at the
Skinner Park, San Fernando, Trinidad And Tobago, junior middleweight
Giselle Salandy will be fighting Yvonne Reis for seven titles; and
in Ft Smith, Arkansas, Tawnyah Freeman will be fighting Jessica
Mohs; and in an exhibition, Sarah Goodson will be fighting Savanna
Hill.

subject to changes as we all know in this sport. If you plan to
