(MAR 3) In what was probably the biggest male fight for Kenya so far, Kenyan Boxer Sande Otieno, now 12-0 won a TKO over Ghanaian Wilson Lanquawe in an exciting WBC
International Super bantamweight fight. The Kenyan
southpaw came in strongly from the start and overwhelmed the Ghanaian in the 3rd round. Referee Alfred Buqwana stopped the fight after Wilson had received more than 10 punches without response.

In another World title fight, the grudge re-match between Kenyans Nick Otieno and Twalib Mubiru for the UBO Bantamweight title, the results were the same as the last time the two boxers met, only this time with the referee Wycliffe Marende stopping the fight in the 7th round. Otieno had earlier on landed good hard punches that had the challenger rattled from the 1st round.

Three female fights were on the card as well, Ugandan
Agnes Adongo [2-3-1]and Kenyan Jane Kavulani [4-6-2]
fought to a draw in a six round fight, while Judy Waguthi [2-1-0] overwhelmed Rukia Narikare [0-3-0].

Kenyan Fatuma Zarika Njeri won a decision over Bulgarian Galina Koleva Ivanova in a 10 round fight that saw the Kenyan girl have trouble with her first southpaw opponent. The taller Galina used her reach well, keeping away from Zarika's right while making rightly timed jabs throughout the fight. By the 7th round, the fight could have gone either way as Zarika
constantly failed to make the fight from inside to counter the smooth movement of the Bulgarian. However Zarika came strongly in the last two rounds to stamp her authority over the game.

Boxers Sande Otieno and Nick Otieno's - both from the
Jabjab Stable have been busy through out the last year
with Nick otieno having 6 wins since April 2006 and Sande Otieno having chalked up 4 wins. Sande will now relinquish the ABU Super bantamweight title that he won in December 2006 and also the WBF Intercontinental title. Sande will defend his title twice in 2007 before looking on for bigger things in the super bantamweight category.

The fights were promoted by Osaga Promotions with
close cooperation with newly formed Samdove Promotions. The fights were aired live on TV, KBC Channel 1 from the Grand Regency Ballroom.
