She said: "Kultysheva is a tall
rangy opponent and she was very awkward and hard to break
down but I eventually got through and I was pleased with my
performance.
"I meet the English champion
Amanda Coulson in Dungarvan next Friday night and the
contest with Kultysheva was ideal preparation as Coulson has
a similar style."
Allana Murphy, from the Eastside
club in Belfast, will also be in the ring in Dungarvan to
take on Fionna Hayes in a 66Kg contest.
Murphy won bronze at the Norway
Box Cup last year and was also awarded bronze at the
European Union Championships in June 2006 following her semi
final defeat to Coulson in Italy.
According to IABAs Women's
Boxing Development Officer Anja Norman, Fridays meeting is a
unique opportunity to measure the strength in depth of Irish
female boxing.
She said: "We will be using the
meeting to assess the strength of our squad and to see where
we stand with a view to bringing our boxers to the
next level.
"There is a strong English
selection coming over and it promises to be a great nights
boxing and I would like to thank the Dungarvan Boxing Club
for arranging this show."
