In a report so brief it could perhaps
better be described as an epitaph, Isaac Guerra of Box Noticias
salutes the courage of Elizabeth “La Paloma” Aguillón of Monterrey
in challenging the ex world champion (Jazmín Rivas) on Friday
evening in the Arena Coliseo, Monterrey. "Unfortunately for her," he
adds, "the girl from Gómez Palacio responded with the best of her
repertoire, concluding with a powerful hook to the liver that
brought the fight to an end."
[According to Guerra, Rivas won by KO, 2 minutes 45 seconds into
Round One; if this is correct, the fight was scheduled for six
3-minute rounds.]
