(JAN 9) On January 24, 2007, in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Jeannine Garside will rematch against Kim Colbert, 2-11-0 (2KO). Garside fought Colbert the first time on February 16, 2006, stopping Colbert in the third round by TKO in a scheduled six round bout. Garside, 6-0-1, with an amateur background of about 45 plus fights including winning amateur championships, she is also a current “World Champion.”

Update 1/9/07 1:36 p.m. PST:  We received an email stating that this fight was disapproved by the commission a "Few Days Ago". We CALLED the Illinois Commission and were told that they have not approved or disapproved any fights on this card as of yet.  They ARE going to call the supervisor who is out of town to see if he may have disapproved it over the phone.  We can only hope....WBAN will keep boxing fans updated on this new tidbit of info.

(JAN 13) WBAN has been notified that the Illinois Commission turned down the Jeannine Garside vs. Kim Colbert fight that was to take place on the January 24th card Illinois. Hats off to this commission!
