(NOV 12) Last week on Sunday,
November 5th, Jizelle Salandy, WBA/WBC Champ, made a visit
to the Valencia Youth Community to assist in the development of
the Youth Arise Program, of which Mr. Wayne Chance is the
Chairman. She displayed her four world title record breaking
belts and gave some good advice to the constituency. She urged
them to believe in themselves, submit to yourselves to learning
and stay focus on whatever you're doing, be it sports or
academics. Jizelle also urged the youths to get involve in
sports, it is the one thing that channels your life in a
positive direction whilst removing away from a life of crime and
any other negatives that may be waiting to plague your future.
Jizelle says she intends to go into all the communities, hold
boxing/work shops to inspire the youths of the nation and to
encourage them to be great, so at the end of the day we can
repair the torn fabric of the youths of the society.
Jizelle who has an upcoming world
title fight on December 9th 2006 against Lisa Holewyne of the
USA, will be attempting to to write herself into the Guinness
Book of Record, said she would take the time from her busy
schedule to go into each community, at least once a week, to do
yeoman's service. Salandy believes that one must always work to
develop your country and must put country before self because
country belongs to us and those to come.
