The "Night of Champions" is already
expected to be another sold-out show for boxing fans, but the fight
for the IN.B.A. Women’s Super Lightweight Championship means far
more for the combatants, said Legendary Jack “Kid” Callahan, of One
In A Million Inc.
"Rita and Mary met in the amateurs, and Rita came out on top, but
now they're professional fighters," Callahan said. "This is about
taking control in the women’s ranks, which have become so much more
competitive over the years."
McGee (7-0, 4 KO’s) promised to avenge her lost and more to Figueroa
(9-0, 3 KO’s)."I've trained and fought too hard to let her stand in
my way, and I will knock her out to prove it," McGee said. "I know
Mary’s been talking a lot of smack lately about knocking me out, but
far better people have tried and failed," Figueroa countered. "Let’s
see what she has in the ring."
