(SEPT 13) Layla McCarter....fed up...and
tired of the female boxers in her weight class not wanting to fight
her---she is moving up in weight class to fight the "big girls".
McCarter is a natural featherweight/super featherweight, but has
fought in many weight classes thus far as a professional.
On October 7th, at the Lucky Eagle
Casino, in Rochester, Washington, on Fight Night 54, she will be
fighting Dakota Stone, of Seattle, Washington, at 154 lbs, for the
NWBA (Northwest Boxing Association) Female Championship Title. The
two will be the main event and will fight eight rounds.
WBAN spoke to Team McCarter and they said that in the future
Layla is planning to keep moving up in weight class so that she will
have women who will have opponents willing to step in the ring.
