on the Battle at the Boat card, at the Emerald Queen Casino, in
Tacoma, Washington, Melissa Shaffer will rematch with New Mexico's
Jodi Esquibel in a four-round bout at 105 pounds.
Shaffer gets to fight in her hometown of
Seattle for the first time at the Emerald Queen Casino. Esquibel and
Shaffer fought in April in Albuquerque, New Mexico, when Shaffer
took the bout on 24 hours notice to help cover a last minute
cancellation and lost a decision.
"Hats off" to Esquibel for rematching in Shaffer's home turf, after
the first fight taking place in Esquibel's home turf. We do not see
this enough in the sport.
