(AUG 1) WBAN was contacted this week by Damon Bingham of Team Laila Ali. Damon gave a quick update for the on-going saga of Ali's latest upcoming fight that was to take place on August 5th against Gwendolyn O'Neil. The fight was canceled after some problems had occurred with the promotion of that event.

Damon told WBAN, "currently we are figuring out when we can reschedule a fight in Africa, possibly Johannesburg, for Laila to fight there.  We are talking to a new promoter about staging it this year.  We are also exploring other options in other countries and the states."
