(JULY 16) WBAN was contacted today by Team Brakache who talked about her last fight against Angelica Martinez which took place in Tunica, Mississippi, on July 8, 2006.

Team Brakache said the following:

Mariem feels that not one moment Angelica beat her,  and that there are many things that Mariem feels could have different----but being beat by Angelica " NEVER!  Mariem did not even get a second wind fighting Angelica.

One of the Judges must have been watching a different fight. We all know when you leave it to the judges you're giving it away.

Mariem would like a rematch---in another state. 

Mariem experienced a previous loss in this state (Tunica, Mississippi)  against Turnica's favorite Cristy "Code Red"  Nickel, and yet Mariem won the IBA world championship when fighting against Nickel in China.  Mariem said that the second fight against Cristy was a robbery and that someone should have called the police.

Mariem stated, "I beat Cristy three times--the second rematch in Tunica the judges gave her one. After the IBA in Beijing, China,  Mariem destroyed Cristy every round for the unfair decision from the previous fight.  With the Angelica Martinez fight back in Tunica, it happened again.

Mariem said, "I wish Cristy all the success, and I think she is doing her thing.  I admire her for that.  Angelica I see you back in the ring soon!"

Mariem's goal is to be three-time world champion before the year ends, in three different weight classes. And wants to be recognized as the Champ of the World.
