(JULY 1) WBAN has been contacted by Marianne Chubirka who has confirmed that she is indeed fighting Carina Moreno on July 20th, at the Palace Casino, in Lemoore, California.  The two will be fighting for the NABF world title.

Chubirka said that she is in the process of getting her medicals done in Florida.  Chubirka added, "We both have signed the contract and we ARE fighting."

WBAN had received information earlier this week from the NABF that reported that Chubirka was not fighting Moreno.  Apparently, (according to Chubirka), the promoter was thinking that the medical costs would be prohibitive considering the size of the purse. Chubirka told WBAN that she will be meeting with a physician in the morning to see if they can work something out to manage the cost.  If the medical cost of all the tests that are required end up being more than the purse, the fight will not happen in California.
