(MAR 2) Professional boxing action
returns to the HP Pavilion at San Jose with Fight Night at the Tank
on Thursday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. Hector Camacho Jr. (40-1-1, 23
KO’s) headlines a stellar line-up of fighters as Fight Night kicks
off with the first of five nights of professional boxing action in
San Jose for 2006. The 2006 edition of Fight Night at the Tank
promises the same hard-hitting action that has made Fight Night at
the Tank the premier professional boxing series in the Bay Area.
Other fighters scheduled for the March 23 event are George Garcia
(11-0, 4 KO’s) of Salinas, CA who will be fighting in a 6-Round
Heavyweight bout, Fight Night at the Tank favorite Kelsey Jeffries
(33-9, 2 KO’s) of Gilroy, CA who will be fighting in a 6-Round
Women’s Super Bantamweight bout, Jesus Rodriguez (6-1, 2 KO’s) of
Salinas, CA who will be fighting in a 4-Round Jr. Welterweight bout
and James McCloskey (2-2-1, 2KO’s) of Los Angeles, CA who will be
taking on Brian Theodile (1-0, 1 KO) also of Los Angeles in a
4-Round Heavyweight bout. All fights are subject to change.
Individual tickets to Fight Night at the Tank go on sale March 6 at
10 a.m. at the HP Pavilion Ticket Office, Ticketmaster Ticket
Centers located in Wherehouse Music stores, Tower Records and Ritmo

Hector Camacho Jr., nicknamed “Macho,” brings a record of 40-1-1
with 23 career KO’s into Fight Night at the Tank debut. He will
showcase his skills in a 10-Round Junior Middleweight bout. The son
of the three-time world champion Hector Camacho, Camacho Jr. now
resides in Orlando, FL and is currently ranked 50th in the world in
his class. After turning pro in the mid 1990’s, the Puerto Rican
native didn’t lose his first fight until 2002. However, since then
Camacho has gone undefeated and will be making his first appearance
at the Tank in March.

Thursday, May 18, July 20, September 14 and November 16. All fights
begin at 7:30 p.m.
