(DEC 6) The Border City
Boxing Club's three representatives at
the 2006 Canadian Championships in January each competed on Saturday
evening. National Champion Katie "Silence" Dunn stopped New
York's Debbie Grebbs in the second round of their bout on a card
in Hamilton Ontario.
Meanwhile, Ontario
Champions "Gorgeous" Andre Gorges (welterweight) and Colin
"The House" Sangster (super-heavyweight) competed in Monroe
Michigan. Gorges won a unanimous decision over Irish Hill's George
Martin, while Sangster was out-pointed by Michigan Golden Glove Champ
Kent Binchon.
Dunn, Gorges and
Sangster will next compete on a card at the Border City Boxing Club on
Saturday December 10, 2005. Doors open at 6:30 PM.
