A Ring of Their Own Announces "World Title Wave"
September 13, 2005

(SEPT 13) Rock & Sock Productions, KO Promotions, and Independent Jewelers will promote their second “A Ring of Their Own” event in Edmonton, Alberta, billed as “World Title Wave.” This fight card is scheduled for Friday, November 18, at the Shaw Conference Center and is available live on pay-per-view in Canada and world-wide via broadband distribution.

The card features four-world title fights, which include Edmonton’s own
Jelena Mrdjenovich, Chevelle Hallback  of Tampa, Florida, and Lisa "Bad News" Brown of Toronto, Ontario, among others.

This is “A Ring of Their Own’s” second appearance in Edmonton after a highly successful show in June.

“We’re really looking forward to this show as a natural follow up to the first one,” said KO Promotions principal Glen Carriere. “Four world title fights on one card is unprecedented.”

“It will be interesting to see who gets a crown and who gets crowned,” said Rock & Sock partner Arnie Rosenthal. “And of course, we’re happy to be back in a great fight town like Edmonton.”

The Edmonton show is “A Ring of Their Own’s” first pay-per-view event, and two more are planned for 2006. The card will be finalized by October 1, and Rock & Sock has some surprises in store for the remainder of the card. The last event showcased Mrdjenovich’s stunning revenge of her sole defeat to
Layla McCarter, thus setting up her world title opportunity. Lisa Brown and Chevelle Hallback are reigning world champions and will reveal their title defense plans soon.
