Jessica Rakoczy-Eliza Olson bout on Lemoore Card

Source: Press Release
August 27, 2005

(AUG 27) The Palace Indian Gaming Center in association with Goossen Tutor Promotions delivers another exciting night of live professional boxing on Friday, September 16th with nine bouts scheduled.

The event titled “All In” features reigning NABF featherweight Champion, Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero from nearby Gilroy, CA in a ten round title defense in the Main Event. Guerrero, who’s last fight was April 1st also at The Palace and featured in the SHOWTIME televised main event is considered one of the best featherweight contenders in the world. He is currently the #4 contender to the World Boxing Council World featherweight Championship and considered the future of the division by many boxing insiders.

The event will feature women’s WBC, IBA and NABA World Champion Jessica Rakoczy fighting against the rugged and dangerous veteran Eliza Olsen of Downey, CA. Olsen (8-5-3, 2 KOs), who’s grandfather was the late boxing great Bobo Olsen brings a strong array of punches and a rugged work ethic into this fight against Rakoczy (20-1 7 KOs), considered one of women’s boxing best pound for pound fighters.

The show will begin at 7:15PM on Friday, September 16th in The Palace’s outdoor event grounds. The doors will open at 6PM and tickets are on sale now ranging in price from $30-$400.

In the Co-Main Event one of the Valley’s brightest prospects hopes to join Fresno’s Frank Mondejar as a proud winner of a WBE National Championship. Tulare’s Hector “The Prodigy” Alatorre brings his undefeated record (8-0, 3 KOs) into his WBE National Lightweight Championship fight against battle tested “Iron” Mike Dobbs, of Oklahoma City, OK. Dobbs (8-13, 7 KOs) is a hard punching lightweight division gate keeper who has fought many of the sports top prospects and he provides Alatorre with his toughest test to date as a professional.

Rounding out the stellar 9 bout card will be Fresno’s WBE National Middleweight Champion, Frank Mondejar (10-2, 10 KOs) against the tall and strong Mike “Action” Jackson (10-11, 8 KOs) of Hatfield, Arkansas. In non title actrion, Fresno’s Charles “Showboat” Davis the reigning WBC Continental Americas Crusierweight Chapion will fight an 8 round fight in the Light Heavyweight division. Davis, ranked #15 by the WBC at Crusier weight is eyeing a move to the Light Heavyweight ranks and will test the weaters there on September 16th against an opponent to be announced later.

 Also appearing:

Wasco Heavyweight Manuel Quezada (10-3, 9 KOs) vs Derrick Ryals of Los Angeles, (7-5-1, 4 KOs)

Exeter’s Santiago Rodriguez (3-1-2, 2 KOs) vs Bakersfield’s Raul Rodriguez (0-1) in a 4 round Junior Middleweight fight. This is a rematch from their fight December 16th 2004, in which Santiagio won a 4 Round Majority decision over Raul.

Two additional bouts will be scheduled and announced at a later date.

Tickets ranging in price from $30-$400 are on sale now inside The Palace Gift Shop or any tickets.com outlet.
