to be guest on ESPN Tuesday Night Fights

(JULY 31) Sumya 'The Island Girl' Anani will be Teddy Atlas' guest on ESPN
Tuesday Night Fights on August 2nd. Sumya stunned the female boxing
world in 1998 with a decision win over the "then" prime Christy
Martin. Harold Lederman, of HBO, said "It was absolutely one of the most
amazing fights I ever saw!! Christy tried everything, but couldn't stop
Sumya."
Christy consequently never wanted a rematch. Sumya went on to win four world
titles, from 135-147! She is ranked # 1 @ 147 by Boxrec. Ranked # 1 @ 140 by
WBC, WBAN, IFBA, and IWBF. The current World IBA Welterweight. Champ, and
the current World WIBA 140 Champ.
In recent years, she has been voted The Ring magazine's P4P best female
fighter, and WBAN's most avoided fighter. Lucia Rijker is ONE of the 'artful
dodgers!'
