(APR 27) THE
RIOT has moved to the Conference Center in Downtown Monterey, and 12 Sports
Productions is proud to announce the most competitive pro boxing card in our
13 years of promoting shows in Santa Cruz and Monterey. On Saturday July
2nd, six bouts will be contested in various weight classes featuring at
least 7 undefeated "hot" prospects. A flyer about the show has been mailed
to you.
Tickets are now on sale. Seats are only available by charging with Visa or
Mastercard at (831)688-1604.
Undefeated Heavyweight George Garcia of Glendale Arizona, (previously from
Salinas) a member of the Mexican Olympic Team (5-0 as a pro) vs. TBA. Up and
coming bantamweight Alejandro Perez (2-0-1 Salinas) will be matched tough. A
spectacular women's bout featuring Carina Moreno (7-0 Watsonville) vs. Julie
Rubalcava (5-0 Westminster) will be a dandy flyweight affair. A tremendous
featherweight matchups of unbeatens pits Sadot Vazquez (2-0-1 Keene Texas)
vs. Joel Santiago (4-0 Las Vegas). Last years San Francisco Golden Gloves
champion Enrique Gutierrez (3-0 Santa Rosa) will fight another welterweight
TBA. All of the above unbeaten fighters have Championship potential.
Sacramento's Richard Paige at 5-1 is also on the card. He'll duel a TBA
opponent at Super Middleweight.
Over our 13 years of promoting Professional Boxing in Central California, 12
Sports Productions has showcased numerous prospects who became World
Champions. That list includes Sugar Shane Mosley, Stevie Johnston, James
Page, Hector Lizzarraga, and several other men on their way to titles like
Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero of Gilroy, and Salinas' Jose Celaya. Having
scheduled one women's bout per fight card since 1992, and the first promoter
in California to do so, our Champions have included Gina "Boom Boom" Guidi
from San Leandro, Mary Ann Almager, Jolene Blackshear, Leah Mellinger and
others. Carina Moreno and Julie Rubalcava should be joining that list of
World Champions in the very near future.
"The move from the Hyatt to the Downtown Monterey Conference Center provides
a larger venue to match great talent and accommodate several hundred extra
boxing fans who have been turned away in the past. We've had 16 consecutive
sellouts, and we expect another in Downtown Monterey" states
promoter/matchmaker Jerry Hoffman.
The action Saturday July 2nd begins at 7:30pm with the first of 6 bouts.
Doors open at 6:30. Ringside tickets are priced at $80. Reserved table seats
are $60. and reserved theater seats are $40. There are also a couple
Sponsor/VIP tables still available. All orders must be placed by calling
(831) 688-1604. |
