Fox Celebrates Six Years On the Net
with WBAN!
By Sue TL Fox
June 30, 2005

(JUN 30)  YOU Never know how far you have gone, until you look back at where you started from!  In WBAN's sixth year anniversary of being on the net, I have attached the VERY FIRST DRAFT of the infancy and idea of what WBAN would be about!  [Removed]

As you can see, everything has a beginning---and if you stick with what you love to do---it will grow and flourish.  WBAN has done just that.

It never occurred to me in 1998, when first going on the net, that I would eventually be covering the current boxers. In fact, I was determined to set the record straight with many of the mis-reported events that were occurring in the 1990's that were recorded as "History Firsts" ---which, of course, were not.

Then unbeknownst to me, the current boxers had some of the same issues as the past boxers, with history basically repeating itself, and WBAN, eventually covered both current and past boxers. Story

It has been a long and interesting road thus far, meeting so many people in the sport, and having many others who without their contributions to WBAN, this site would not be what it is today.

WBAN has truly become a world-wide "Joint effort" that includes the originator, and creator of the Women's Boxing Page, Dee Williams, who was on the net before WBAN, and who joined WBAN to deliver the best in the sport to cover women's boxing.

WBAN also has many fantastic writers and photographers, who have done a superior job in covering the sport.

Also, the managers, trainers, boxers, promoters, and matchmakers, who have been great contributors of materials including videos, photos, stories, press releases, and the list goes on!  WBAN's library of material has grown immensely in the six years of being on the net.
