Tough Talk From Jizelle Salandy
By Boxu Potts
March 17, 2008

(MAR 17) Jizelle Salandy congratulates Natascha Ragosina for breaking her world record by winning seven world title belts in one fight. When records are broken like this it is good for the sport; it can only generate more interest and give more credence to a sport that is in dire need of role models.

Salandy wishes Ragosina the best of luck and would like to see her wear her titles with dignity. That being said, she is looking forward to having a mammoth show down with Ragosina very soon. She said if she can go up in weight a little bit and Ragosina come down some, they can meet at around 160 lbs, she’d be more than pleased to fight Ragosina.

However right now Salandy’s main focus is on Karolina Lukasik, who she is pretty certain, she can take care of. Thereafter she looks forward to fighting the winner of the Mary Jo Sander versus Holly Holm fight and then she would have her day with Ragosina.

Salandy said things are getting pretty interesting in the world of female boxing; Mary Jo is unbeaten, Ragosina is unbeaten, she too is unbeaten and Holly Holm is 17 and 1. Whatever is the outcome of the Mary Jo Sanders vs  Holly Holm fight.   Salandy will fight the winner and after she wins that fight (she says win because she does not believe any middleweight in the world can beat her) then she would look Ragosina in the eyes and say, let’s get it on sometime in November.
