5' 1" bantamweight Ebanie "Blonde Bomber" Bridges, of New South Wales, Australia, born on September 22, 1986,  is a professional boxer who has been fighting since February 8, 2019 when she made her pro debut in Sydney, Australia winning a three-round bout by a majority decision over Mahiecka Pareno. 

Bridges won the ANBF Australasian super-bantamweight title after winning it on March 13, 2021.  She fought Carol Earl winning the eight-round bout by a unanimous decision.

When Bridges was just five years old, her parents got her into karate.  She competed in the sport until the age of 13 years old.  After that, she began training in kickboxing and Muay Thai.  Bridges also according to online information accumulated a 26-4 amateur record from 2016-2018.  She won the 2016 and 2017 National Golden Gloves Titles, as well as state championships, and more.

She later entered the sport of competitive bodybuilding, and competed for eight years winning many regional and state titles.

On October 12, 2019, Bridges fought Laura Woods, making her pro debut, who Bridges defeated via [0:26] TKO in the third-round in a scheduled four round bout.

On November 30, 2019, she fought Kanittha Ninthim, 116,  winning by a second round TKO in another four round bout.

On February 8, 2020, at the Civic Center, Hammond, Indiana,  Bridges made a successful American debut as she won a six-round unanimous decision over Crystal Hoy in a bantamweight bout by shutout scores of 60-54 on all cards.  Bridges of New South Wales, Australia is now 4-0.  Full Story on Split Management's fighters

On April 10, 2021, at the Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Hackney Wick, London, United Kingdom,
Shannon Courtenay, 117.5, of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, won a ten-round unanimous decision over Ebanie Bridges, 117, of New South Wales.  The final scoring was 92-98, 94-97, and 92-98.  Courtenay won the vacant WBA Bantamweight world title. Bridges had her first loss as a pro and at that time was 5-1-0 (2KO). 

On August 7, 2021, at the Matchroom HQ Garden, Brentwood, England,  Bridges, 118¾,  fought Bec Connolly, 119, scheduled for eight rounds, but the fight ended in the third round (1:22) when Bridges TKO'd Connolly. Courtesy photos by Matchbox at the weigh-in.  Full Story

On September 4, 2021, at the  Headingley Rugby League Stadium, in Leeds, Yorkshire, United Kingdom, Bridges, 118, of New South Wales, Australia,  won an eight-rounder by points over Mailys Gangloff, 116,   of Aix-les-Bains, Savoie, France.  Bridges moved her record to 7-1-0 (3KO) and Gangloff is 5-3-0 (2KO)... On March 26, 2022, Bridges won the IBF Bantamweight title with a 10-round unanimous decision over Maria Cecilia Roman.  The bout took place in front of a sold-out crowd at The First District Arena in Leeds, England.  Bridges, who is managed by Split-T Management under Brian Cohen and Team Empire Boxing, out worked and out hustled Roman on the inside as well as landing some good punches to the body. Bridges was effective with her uppercut and took the lead from the outset.  Roman tried to make a fight out of it, but Bridges showed her championship heart, and was able to be very effective down the stretch to claim her first world title.  Bridges landed 205 of 645 punches; Roman was 156 of 430.  Bridges, 117.3 lbs of New South Wales, AUS won by scores of 100-91 and 97-93 twice and is now 8-1. Roman, 116.4 lbs of San Juan, ARG was a five year-champion, who had made seven defenses and is now 16-6-1.

“I am feeling proud of myself, and everything that I sacrificed has been worth it. This belt means all of the sacrifice and training. I was so happy for that kind of fight. I hope the fight was entreating. Cecilia brought the fight. I am grateful to win the title in this great city of Leeds,” said Bridges,

Not only is Ebanie a super talent in the ring, but she is amazing out of the ring.  She is a Mathematics teacher, earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a minor in Physical Education at Western Sydney University, followed by a Master's degree in Teaching, during which she graduated at the top of her class. She also speaks several languages---amazing! 

On April of 2022, Ebanie Bridges was named WBAN's April of 2022 Fighter of the month.

On December 10, 2022, at the First Direct Arena, Leeds, UK,  Ebanie Bridges, 117 ¼, in an action-packed fight, she retained her IBF Bantamweight World title when she stopped Shannon O’Connell, 117 ¾ in the eighth round of a ten-round bout. O’Connell was down in the third round, and in the eighth round Bridges through a barrage of combinations where the ref stopped the fight 1:45 minutes in that round. In a second female bout, Rhiannon Dixon, 134 1/4, won an eight-rounder by points over Kristine Shergold, 134 1/2.  In a third female bout, Shannon Courtenay, 124 1/2, won by points in an eight round bout over Gemma Ruegg, 124 1/2.

On January of 2023, Ebanie Bridges was named WBAN's January 2023 Fighter of the Month.  She is one to keep your eye on in the sport!

On December 9, 2023, at the Chase Center, San Francisco, California,
Miyo Yoshida, 117¾, of New York, New York, won a ten-round unanimous decision over Bridges, 117½, of New South Wales, Australia. The two were fighting for the vacant IBF Bantamweight World Title. Final judges scores were 91-99, 93-97, and 91-99.
