Amanda Serrano vs. Nina Meinke Fight Preview
February 13, 2024

The upcoming boxing showdown between Amanda Serrano and Germany's Nina Meinke is poised to make history as the biggest female boxing event in Puerto Rico. Set to take place at the Coliseo José Agrelot, affectionately known as the "Choliseo," in San Juan, this highly anticipated match promises to captivate audiences with its display of skill and determination.

Addressing the press at the Distrito T-Mobile complex during the first official press conference for their March 2 Ring featherweight championship bout, Serrano, the reigning Ring featherweight champion, expressed her anticipation for what she believes will be a fierce battle. Recognizing Meinke's opportunity to claim her belts and make her mark in the boxing world, Serrano acknowledged her opponent's toughness and skill, setting the stage for an epic showdown.

Serrano, who has previously fought in Puerto Rico despite her New York roots, expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support from her fellow Puerto Ricans. She marveled at the opportunity to headline such a significant event on her home turf and thanked MVP for organizing the spectacle. With
Jake Paul graciously opting to fight in the co-main event to show support for Serrano, she acknowledged the reversal of roles and looked forward to showcasing women's boxing alongside her co-stars.

Meinke, rated No. 2 by The Ring at featherweight, expressed her excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to face Serrano in Puerto Rico. Embracing the challenge, Meinke recognized the significance of the atmosphere and the motivation it provides. She eagerly anticipated the sold-out Coliseo and affirmed her readiness to compete at the highest level.

In solidarity with Serrano's commitment to fighting in the 12×3 format, Meinke voiced her support for gender equality in boxing and expressed pride in being part of this movement. Despite acknowledging Serrano's strength as a boxer, Meinke emphasized her own skills and experience, confident in her ability to deliver a compelling performance.

Betting sites across the U.S are known for heavily promoting the most common sports such as football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and soccer. Yet this time they have been aggressively promoting this event.

Bookmakers have placed Amanda Serrano as an overwhelming favorite.

As of now, Serrano's odds stand at 1/25 (-2500) to secure victory, reflecting her strong position in the contest. Conversely, if you believe in the possibility of an upset, you can bet on Nina Meinke at 12/1 (+1200).

According to these odds, Serrano is perceived to have a staggering 93% chance of winning, leaving Meinke with a 7% chance of pulling off a significant upset.

Initially, Serrano emerged as the favorite with odds of 1/25 (-2500), while Meinke opened with odds of 12/1 (+1200).
