(JAN 28, 2024) Isaac and Alina Peach boxers, Commonwealth games representative Erin Walsh and stablemate Emma Nesbitt will be making their professional boxing return on February 23rd at ABA Stadium.

Peach Boxing has now been acknowledged as the best boxing gym in New Zealand today, with Isaac and Alina Peach training world-class athletes, including IBO World super bantamweight champion Mea Motu, IBF Intercontinental champion Jerome Pampellone, WBO Global Champion Andrei Mikhailovich and more. Don't forget the many amateur boxers that they currently train as well. Erin Walsh and Emma Nesbitt are the next big up-and-comers climbing the rankings in the women's division.

The Irish-born New Zealand Citizen Erin Walsh is a regular sparring partner for the world champion Mea Motu. Walsh is a three-time New Zealand national amateur champion and a 2022 Commonwealth Games participant representing New Zealand. She is considered one of the best amateur boxers in New Zealand, ranked in the top 40 in the world. Most recently, she won a silver medal at the 2023 Pacific games, narrowingly missing out on a golden ticket to the Olympics. She also got one of her biggest amateur career wins when she defeated 2018 Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Troy Garton in August 2023.

Walsh made her professional boxing debut in November, where she defeated Thailand boxer Nantachat Wanpeng by 2nd round stoppage. Walsh gave Wanpeng trouble right from the start, knocking Wangpeng down twice in the first round. It did not last long after that, with the referee stopping the fight after Wanpeng's third knockdown in the second round. After the fight, Isaac Peach stated Walsh was ready for international opponents and willing to take on anyone.

Emma Nesbitt competes in a variety of combat sports, including MMA, Jiujitsu, Muay Thai, amateur boxing, professional boxing and many more. She has already won a variety of titles in combat sports. Now, she is being trained at Peach Boxing for amateur and professional boxing. Prior to joining Peach Boxing, Nesbitt made her professional boxing debut in June 2023, where she fought Holly McMath, losing by Unanimous Decision. Since joining Peach Boxing, her in-ring skills have improved tremendously. Mea Motu cornered Nesbitt in her first fight under Peach Boxing in July 2023.

Last November, Nesbitt returned to professional boxing when she fought Thailand Khwunchit Khunya. One of the most notable things seen in the fight was the explosive body shots Nesbitt gave to Khunya throughout the four rounds. Nesbitt won the fight by unanimous decision, achieving her first professional boxing win. Isaac Peach stated that Nesbitt is young, and 2024 will be a big learning year for her as she progresses through professional boxing.

Walsh and Nesbitt will be taking on two Fiji boxers who are also at the beginning of their professional careers. Walsh will take on professional rugby player for Womens Fijiana Drua, Sera Bolatini. We have seen a few rugby players jump between rugby and boxing in New Zealand, including Sequita Hemingway and Trish Vaka, just to name a couple. Sera Bolatini who has boxed as an amateur in the past, made an announcement last month that she will be transitioning into professional boxing. As for Nesbitt, she will be taking on Laite Nanovu. Nanovu started amateur boxing in 2020 when she was still in high school.
